SUMMER 2025
What we’re all about
The Bridgehampton Youth Tennis Project is designed to introduce tennis to the 5-12 year olds who attend the summer program at the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center (BHCCRC), which itself was founded in 1950 to serve low income families in the Eastern Long Island community. The tennis program runs at two separate locations: the program for the youngest campers (ages 5-8) at the 36×18 ft Youth Tennis Court at the Center, and the program for the older campers (ages 9 and up) at the full-size courts of the nearby Bridgehampton High School.
2025 10-Year Fundraiser
After 10 successful years of operation, BHYTP is launching a fundraiser to fund new tennis equipment for participants and much needed court repairs. Please take a minute to read about our fundraiser and consider giving through the link below.
Why We Started
The Bridgehampton Youth Tennis Project was initiated in fall of 2015 to introduce tennis to underserved children in the Eastern Long Island community, who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to learn a highly cost-prohibitive sport like tennis. As life-long competitive tennis players with great passion for the sport, we recognize all that tennis has given to us, and have made it our mission to share that enthusiasm with others so that they may enjoy these same advantages.
This program was made possible through an initial fundraise of $52,000 to construct a youth-sized tennis court at the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center (BHCCRC). Since the court was opened in June of 2016, the program has served roughly 100 students annually who participate in the center's eight-week program. We could not be more grateful for the tremendous support we have received from the local community in undertaking this endeavor, as well as the participation of a group of like-minded coaches and volunteers without whom this program would not be possible.
Who We Are
The BYTP's success these past ten summers would not have been possible without the help of our fellow coaches and volunteers. These players are not only passionate coaches and highly competitive tennis players on the court, but great individuals as well.
