Week One: Forehands
Goal: Week 1: Forehand
• Objective: Develop proper forehand technique and consistency.
• Activities:
• Warm-up and dynamic stretching.
• Forehand grip and stance instruction.
• Forehand drills focusing on control and accuracy.
• Forehand games and challenges.
To start let’s make sure the students develop the proper forehand technique and make consistent contact. We will show them how to hold and swing the racket correctly by starting with hand feeds. Then when they feel comfortable we can add targets and do more drilling and games.
Achievement Status: There is still much work to be done, but the kids showed promise and gave our coaches a lot to be proud of. There is a lot to build on in the coming weeks, and there’s no doubt we will continue to see improvements. The energy level was high, and the general attitude seemed to be engaged and ready to learn. Let’s keep it going!
