Our tennis camp kicked off with an intense focus on mastering the forehand—the cornerstone of every tennis player's game. Throughout the week, we dove deep into the fundamentals: grip, swing path, and achieving solid contact with the ball. We started with basic drills to isolate and refine each aspect of the forehand technique and gradually progressed to more dynamic exercises. By the end of each session, we played a fun game to allow our young athletes to implement what they had just learned and put their newfound skills to the test in a more high-stakes setting. It's not about just understanding but embodying the correct form.
What made this week special, in addition to being week one, was the energy and camaraderie among the children. They came out of the gates ready to learn and play. They cheered each other on, exchanged tips, and celebrated every successful shot with genuine enthusiasm. As coaches, witnessing their progress and teamwork filled us with pride and excitement for what lies ahead this summer.
Looking forward, we hope to build upon this strong foundation and continue improving. Each week, we'll tackle new challenges, refine our techniques, and, most importantly, nurture a love for the sport that will last a lifetime.
Stay tuned as we embark on this tennis journey together. The first week was just the beginning—there's so much more to come!
See you next week!
Game face on!
